Cafe Patachou - Besides environmentally-friendly to-go packaging, this popular Indianapolis restaurant offers Indiana bread, bacon, eggs, produce, as well as sustainable and often organic coffee.

[Danville] The first meeting of Menu for the Future, a six-session course to explore the connection between food and sustainability with a view to improve personal and ecological well-being, will take place on Sun. Apr. 20 at 7 pm at Unitarian Universalist Church behind Mayberry Café, using Northwest Earth Institute's Voluntary Simplicity and Deep Ecology workbook series (Cost: $20 for workbook). Topics will be: What's Eating America?, From Field to Fork, Farming for the Future, You are What you Eat, Toward a Just Food System, Local Food Communities. Local Growers Guild - has just published their 2008 Local Growers Guide for southern and central Indiana. It is available for $2 at Bloomington's Farmers' Market or area retailers or you can download a PDF version from their site.
