History: The first non-profit store opened in 1989 but the effort began much earlier by volunteers from the Mennonite Church.

Mission: To assist world artisans in realizing needed income and give consumers an opportunity to make purchases consistent with their values.

Results: Two stores in Indianapolis, $750,000 in sales expected in 2006, approximately 150 artisans employed annually.
